Wall, Curtis Age 69, of North Oaks. Curt put up a courageous fight with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis for five years. He eventually got the opportunity to receive a double lung transplant in August of this year. His recovery seemed to be going well, but after his release from the hospital, he acquired pneumonia in his new lungs, and succumbed to it on November 16, 2018. He personally chose to come off life support to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Before becoming a financial advisor with RBC Wealth Management, Curt was a scuba diver instructor and part owner of a dive shop which taught diving and led many dive trips to the Caribbean. Curt retired from RBC after 36 years in 2015. Curt enjoyed golfing, fishing, reading, traveling, time with his family at the cabin, and fellowship with his many friends. Curt was a very generous and loving man with everyone who came into his life, always taking interest in others rather than dwelling on himself. To say that Curt will be sorely missed is an understatement. Curt was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Wall. He is survived by his wife, Sharon of 42 years; his 100-year-old mother, Millie Wall; son, Aaron (Melissa); daughter, Rachel (Hector) Perez; grandchildren, Sophia, Lydia, Alaina, Nathan, Liliana, and Isaac; brothers, Chuck (Penny), Jim, Rick (Chris), Bill (Gina); and many other relatives and countless friends. Services will be held Tuesday, November 27 at Salem Covenant Church, 2655 5th Street NW, New Brighton; memorial service at 11:00 AM, with visitation starting at 9:30 AM, and luncheon to follow. Private interment.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, CaringBridge, or Salem Covenant Church.
