Worship Details

Holy Week is an invitation to walk alongside Jesus through his final days.

10 am and 7:oo pm

Maundy Thursday, also known as Holy Thursday, is a powerful time of reflection marking the night Jesus shared his final meal with the apostles. We invite you to join us as we observe this sacred tradition through scripture, song, and communion.

7:00 pm Tenebrae Service
You can’t have the joy of the empty tomb on Easter Sunday without the weight of the cross on Friday. The service allows us to sit with the sacrifice before the celebration. Worship features a diminishing of light, signifying the deepening shadows before the dawn of the resurrection.

9:00 am and 10:30 am (Traditional)
11:00 am (Contemporary)

Join us as we celebrate the most joyful day of the year! Our Easter service is a vibrant celebration of life, hope, and the risen Christ. Whether you are a longtime member or visiting for the first time, there is a seat at the table for you. Worship features an uplifting message and incredible music. Freshly baked cinnamon rolls and coffee will be served following the first worship service from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Gluten-free treats will also be avaialble.

What happens during a service at Salem Covenant?

Whether you come to our traditional or contemporary service, you’ll experience worship through vibrant music, heartfelt prayer, and biblical preaching that speaks to our everyday lives. Through our welcoming environment, you’re invited to experience worshiping God and connecting with others at Salem at your own pace.

Where should I go during my first visit?

If you’re attending the traditional service, enter the main doors and head to your left toward the sanctuary.

If you’re attending the contemporary service, enter the main doors, go toward the back of the building, and turn right into the gymnasium. You can also access the gym through the entrance on the west side.

If you have questions about where to go, ask one of our greeters at the front door or someone at the Welcome Desk—they’ll be happy to point you in the right direction. If you arrive after the first service, a host will be available to answer questions and help you find your way.

What is the teaching like?

Sunday teaching will invite you into a deeper, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, grounded in the truth of the Bible and the gift of God’s grace. You’ll hear messages that not only nurture your spiritual growth but also inspire you to extend God’s love and compassion out into the world.

What should I wear?

You’ll see a variety of dress at Salem Covenant—we invite you to dress to your comfort level.

I have questions about Salem and want to learn more—where should I go?

Visit our Welcome Center in the Narthex to learn more, get information about programs, or chat with a host who can connect you with all things Salem.

Do you have programs for my kids during Holy Week?

During Holy Week, we invite children to stay with their families to experience it together as a family. The nursery is available during the 7:oo pm Maundy Thursday and Good Friday Service. It is available for all three Easter services.
