What an Incredible Summer!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our unforgettable VBS and Youth Pursuits Camps! Thanks to our amazing kids, families, and volunteers, this summer was filled with joy, connection, and faith!
From sports and creative arts like sewing to hands-on fun with animals, our campers leaned into what they love most while building meaningful friendships and growing closer to Christ at our YP camps. Our older students stepped up in a big way through StepUp!, taking on character-building responsibilities and growing into confident leaders. And at this year’s VBS, “Illumination Station,” campers discovered the true nature of Jesus as the Light of the World—the promised, perfect, powerful, and proven Son of God.
We are so grateful to everyone who helped make this our best summer yet!

High School Sunday School
Offered during school year, during the Sunday Education Hour 10:10-10:50 am
High schoolers (9th-12th grade) gather weekly during the Education Hour to learn about God’s Word, fellowship with other students, and go deeper in their faith and relationships with one another.
Middle School Confirmation
Offered during school year, during the Sunday Education Hour 10:10-10:50 am
Confirmation helps middle school students (6th-8th grade) explore, engage in, and deepen their relationship with God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Through this Sunday morning class, they will learn the foundations of their faith and get equipped to live out that faith as a part of Christ’s church.
Required classes include:
- Old Testament Survey
- New Testament Survey
- Foundations of Faith
Upon completion of these three classes, students will be confirmed at Salem Covenant Church and be equipped to lead the life, mission, and ministry God has for them.
Youth Group
Wednesdays, 6:30-7:45 pm
Middle School: 6th–8th grade
High School: 9th–12th grade
Wednesday night youth group is an opportunity for students to connect with friends, play games, hear a faith-filled lesson, and discuss with friends in small groups to deepen their faith.
Threads Ministry
4th Sunday of the month from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Middle and High School Students
Threads is a student ministry that weaves (and knits and sews) learning and serving together by pairing meaningful books with hands-on projects. As students read and discuss each book’s theme, they also complete a service project that puts those ideas into action. Each gathering becomes a chance to grow in awareness, compassion, deepen faith, and make a real impact—one thread at a time. Please Let Youth Director Shelli Streeper know if you are planning to attend.
Special Events
Youth group is just the beginning—we also offer a variety of special events, activities, and more throughout the year! Past events include:
- Partnering with Emmanuel Covenant for epic game nights
- Bowling, snow tubing, and Zero Gravity hangouts
- Yearly retreats
- Mission trips, including our trip to Esperanza Viva Youth Home in Mexico
- Salem Arts & Crafts Fair (Youth Ministries Fundraiser)
