It’s our pleasure to announce this year’s 50/50 Giving Initiative!

Through this year’s 50/50 Giving Initiative, we invite you to partner with us by giving funds above and beyond your regular tithes and offerings. These gifts will be used to fund specific projects both within Salem’s walls and in the work of our mission partners locally, regionally, and globally.

The half going outside Salem will be invested equally in three mission partners

  1. Every Meal — a non-profit located in Roseville, provides meals to children who are food insecure by packing and sending meals home with students for the weekends.
  2. North Point — founded by Brad and Brooke Shannon who are part of the Salem community, is a Christ-based organization seeking to address the growing problem of hopelessness among teens in Grand Marais and Cook County.
  3. Covenant World Relief and Development — is responding to recent global tragedies, including natural disasters and conflicts in places like Palestine, Ukraine, and Sudan. that shows the love of Jesus to vulnerable communities suffering from disaster and conflict worldwide.

The remaining half of the funds will support two initiatives within Salem, helping us become a more welcoming community in practical ways

  • The Salem Good Neighbor Team — continues to support refugee families as they acclimate to life in the Twin Cities. This team provides both practical support and a welcoming presence to families adjusting to a new life in our community.
  • Upgrading our lobby furniture — is a key priority identified by the Connecting Ministry Team. The furniture is becoming worn out and an upgrade will make this vital space even more inviting, creating a warm first impression for visitors and a comfortable setting for fellowship.
