Advent at Salem

Inside Out Christmas

Trees are going up in living rooms. Lights are twinkling on roof tops and shrubbery. Christmas Carols are playing and the aisles of Target are overflowing with gift wrap and decorations. Christmas has come in a big way on the outside and it will be here through December 26, after which of course, it will quickly vanish. Our great need is for Christmas to enter us on the inside, the deep places of our souls where we are tired, fearful, frenetic, greedy, lonely, and anxious. Our need is to welcome the loving presence of God into our inner beings so that we can be transformed from the inside out. Join us in exploring ways to celebrate an inside out Christmas as we invite the true Christmas Light to shine in and through us in the year ahead and forever.
