Journeys 50+ Makes 200 Sandwiches for the Homeless
37 pairs of helping hands took park in Journeys 50+ soup supper and sandwich making event.
After fueling up on delicious soup, participants got busy making 200 turkey and cheese sandwiches.
The sandwiches were delivered to Immanuel Tabernacle in Crystal, MN. The faith community delivered the sandwiches to homeless people through an organization called The Sandwich Project.
The cost of the bread, turkey, and cheese were covered by Journeys 50+ members.
A couple years ago, the group made 100 sandwiches.
