Thrive Ministry

Thrive Ministry serves and empowers individuals with unique needs and disabilities. Our vision is to deepen their love for God, His Word, and His people through intentional support while growing as Christ-followers. Through this ministry, we seek to increase accessibility to our programs and provide new opportunities for individuals to grow through cultivating a Christ-centered community—regardless of needs.

We feel so blessed to have Thrive Ministry at Salem Covenant Church. While our long-term vision is to reach individuals of all ages, our immediate service opportunities entail providing children access to Wednesday and Sunday programming. We offer additional support and encouragement through trained volunteers and accommodations, including a sensory room.  Do you have a heart for serving children with unique needs? Opportunities exist for volunteering as little as one hour a month! If you are interested or would like more information, please email Amie Lorence Grubidge.

Similarly, Joni & Friends ministry supports families of disability by facilitating 5-day family retreats designed to provide Bible-based teaching and inclusive worship, respite for parents, meaningful connections with other families, and a whole lot of fun activities for everyone. Each camper with a disability is partnered with a short-termer to be their buddy for the week. They will help their camper participate in daily activities while their parents and other siblings also enjoy a week at camp. Each Family Retreat is packed with exciting adventures for the whole family.
