PEACE OFFERING: Rest in Peace
Isaiah 30:15-18, Matthew 11:25-29
Rev. Jonna Fantz

Lent Sermon Series – Peace Offering/Shalom

Serenity is rare. Conflict constant. Strife and struggle are evident within and between nations, within and between people. Relationships are transient and disposable. An epidemic of loneliness is increasing; our social connections decreasing. Marketers capitalize on our longing for peace with vacation packages, cars, home improvement products, and pills as we continue our endless and seemingly impossible quest for peace. Yet, true peace is possible and available. Join us over the next five weeks as we explore the peace Jesus offers. It is a peace best described by the Hebrew word, “shalom.” This peace is one in which every aspect of life is in healthy harmony, overflowing with blessings for all. Come, as we look toward Easter and the experience of deep, life-transforming peace that can be ours through Christ.
